Twitter is not known for being the most reliable site ever. Sometimes it just goes down without any warning and is replaced with the now famous [Fail Whale][]. This problem isn't just limited to Twitter. Twitpic, Flickr, Delicious, and other sites can all go down occasionally.
As a defense against broken images and dead links, we keep a copy of all the updates we pull in - so even if Twitter is giving you the fail whale, you'll still be able to view your feed on FeedMagnet - we just may not be able to pull in new updates from the troubled source until it comes back online.
