In his role as CEO, Marc brings over 30 years of successful experience leading and developing innovative technology companies. Marc directs the overall strategy and operation of FeedMagnet, driven by his passion and commitment to the needs of customers, building top-performing teams, and creating an innovative and collaborative work environment. Previously, Marc held various C-level positions and was a co-founder of Tivoli Systems, now a $3B division of IBM. Prior to FeedMagnet, Marc was a Managing Director of Origin Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund, and was previously a General Partner of Austin Ventures and Hillman Ventures. As a technology investor, Marc has been an actively involved in several successful companies including SailPoint, Waveset, Venafi, Network Equipment Technologies, VPNet, and Vitalink.
Marc received business and engineering degrees from MIT, UC Berkeley and Tufts University. Beyond leading FeedMagnet, Marc enjoys film noir and the offbeat eateries and vintage kitch shops of Austin, Texas.
As the Founder and President of FeedMagnet, Jason provides the vision and creativity which keeps the company on the innovative edge of our fast changing marketplace. Early in the social media movement, Jason recognized the strong potential for brands to tap into the powerful positive sentiment of brand advocates as well as social posts from employees to better connect and engage with customers. As the Director of Interactive at the Tocquigny digital agency, he managed interactive strategy, user experience and technical execution across all accounts. While at Toquigny, Jason created the first B2B content marketing hub for a leading IT industry client. His achievements helped Tocquigny earn the distinction as the number two interactive firm in the nation by B2B magazine. He previously was the Interactive Product Manager at nFusion and was the Creative Director at Deluge Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jason received his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz from North Texas University in 2001. In addition to sharing his thought leadership through numerous industry speaking engagements, Jason enjoys riding to work on his Buddy scooter and taking his favorite buddy, his son Myles, to the park on the weekends.
As the VP of Client Solutions, Frank leads our client services team in planning, executing and measuring curated content powered by FeedMagnet’s servers. Previously, Frank acted as the Head of Strategy and Research at Tocquigny where he planned marketing programs for clients transitioning to direct and digital strategies. He’s helped clients in the Package Goods, High Tech B2B and Online University segments -- including the WPP equity study. Additionally he served as Accounts Director and Manager at Millward Brown in both the US and the UK where he analyzed consumer insights across multiple brands and targets. Frank was also involved in some of the earliest studies regarding the effectiveness of online advertising which shifted his career track to digital due to its capabilities in targeting, measurement and creativity.
Frank received his Bachelor of Arts in Arts, Sciences and Letters from The Pennsylvania State University in 1999. He also enjoys travel, humor, music and appreciates all of the excitement one has access to from living in downtown Austin.
Luke heads product development and is the chief architect of the FeedMagnet service. Luke’s technical prowess is behind FeedMagnet’s proven ability to rapidly acquire, normalize, filter, curate, distribute and display a full spectrum of content and social media from a rapidly evolving variety of platforms. Prior to FeedMagnet, Luke was a senior development engineer with MyEdu where he architected and built several SaaS offerings for the education market and created an in-house JavaScript framework that mirrored server-side REST API resources. At LiveOak 360 he created custom applications for clients including Time Warner Cable and Green Mountain Energy.
Luke received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Texas A&M University in 2005. Luke has been a speaker at PyCon in 2011, 2012 and 2013 where he also served as Program Committee Co-Chair. When not writing code or otherwise telling computers what to do, Luke enjoys choral singing, reading philosophy, and co-operative board games.
As FeedMagnet’s head of computing systems operations, Boyd leads the team that keeps our cloud based servers running 24/7. Boyd manages day-to-day production systems, security, performance tuning, backup & recovery and troubleshooting. Boyd’s experience and knowledge of large scalable production systems contributes strongly to FeedMagnet’s capabilities in handling real-time high-volume data streams that often come from content and social media marketing campaigns. Previously, Boyd rose through the ranks at MyEdu, from QA Manager to Chief Data Architect, where he managed development, database administration and quality assurance, for a variety of clients.
Boyd received his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from the University of North Dakota in 1990. Outside of FeedMagnet, Boyd is active in Austin’s tech community as an organizer of Austin Devops Meetup and a MySQL instructor through Geek Austin. He is also an avid cyclist and skier and enjoys completing outdoor projects with his children in the backyard.
