Instagram Video!

Instagram video is a big deal not just for Instagram, but for video in general. The install base and ease of use of Instagram means tons of new content is being pushed to the web that wouldn't have existed otherwise. Starting today, brands can participate and leverage these video assets now, using FeedMagnet.

It took us just over 15 seconds...

We pride ourselves on staying on top of the latest changes in content channels – which change quite a bit. Today's update is no exception. Within days of Instagram launching it's 15-second video format, we've added support for it to our platform – which means it is now available for brands to use in marketing campaigns.

Putting video to work for brand marketing

Here's how it works:

  1. As a FeedMagnet customer, simply add Instagram users, hash tags, or individual videos you want to pull in to FeedMagnet
  2. Optionally, set a filter in FeedMagnet to only pull in videos (eliminating any Instagram photos from the same user/hashtag)
  3. Use the moderation console to approve/reject individual videos or set filtering and blacklisting rules to auto-moderate incoming videos
  4. Send the output to your brand website, Facebook tab, or campaign microsite

This opens the door for some pretty innovative marketing programs. We've thought of a few, and we look forward to our brand and agency partners coming up with even more.

Video contests – like their photo contest cousins, but with a video twist.

Video testimonials – short, unsolicited, user-generated video to increase product page conversion.

Hash tag campaigns – building engagement by encouraging fans to share using a hashtag. Alcohol brands encouraging people to share their favorite cocktail mixes. Fitness brands encouraging people to share their workouts, etc.
