Twitter hash tags at events are so 2009.

By now you have probably been to a trade show or event where they were putting tweets from attendees up on a screen. While it is pretty cool to see live buzz right up on the screens, pulling in just Twitter doesn't really capture the full conversation going on.

Just adding Facebook as a source would be a huge improvement. FeedMagnet lets you not only pull in more sources, but have complete control over the content and the look and feel.

More sources and more control.

FeedMagnet lets you pull in multiple Twitter hash tags and combine them with feeds from Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Gowalla, Foursquare, RSS, and other sources.

And once the content is pulled in, it can be filtered—and even moderated—to make sure what you display is relevant and appropriate. Block curse words, blacklist problem individuals, or review every single update if you want.

Want to see it in action?

We'll be putting the FeedMagnet event magic to work at Innotech Austin next week. We're powering screens at the event and sponsoring the Social Media Lounge—come by and say hi if you're attending!

Innotech conference using FeedMagnet for social display

If you're not attending, maybe you should. Innotech is for business and technology leaders and should be a fantastic event. In fact, our CEO, Jason Ford, will be presenting a session on how marketers can use positive social mentions in campaigns and online. If you do sign up, be sure to use this discount code: EM67.

We did something similar to the Innotech screens for the Bazaarvoice Social Commerce Summit earlier in the year. You may have read about it on our blog. They used FeedMagnet to display Twitter and Flickr content on stage, in the lobby, and on the conference website.

Increase participation and engagement.

Successful conferences and professional gatherings are measured by attendance, awareness, and engagement. These events are social by nature. Displaying social content using FeedMagnet can get more people tweeting and posting content, increasing overall engagement and knowledge sharing.
