Inviting Participation at Keynote Speaker Q&A.

International Supercomputing Conference

The International Supercomputing Conference in Hamburg is Europe's leading high-performance computing gathering, and in 2011 partnered with FeedMagnet to present social content as a major component of its content program.

Screens in the event's common areas followed the official Twitter, Flickr, and Youtube identities of the show organizers, mixed with participation from attendees. Following keynote presentations, a variation of the screen projected behind the speaker used hashtags and keywords to drive the question and answer sessions. The screen was also adapted for web and mobile use so those who could not attend could follow the conversation.

The result of representing social content and encouraging dialogue was significant - over 3,500 updates referenced the conference over the course of the four day event, and presenters were able to address attendee concerns and comments as they happened.
